Friday the 13th

I was reading the newspaper 24 hours on the way to work this morning(I was on the dreaded skytrain again) and it had this article about the origins of mythology behind Friday the 13th and why it's known as a bad day. There was a part in it I found kinda humorous that I wanted to share so here it is;

Focklore has it that in the 1800s the British government decided to take strong measures to prove the fallacy of the Friday superstition. They laid the keel of a new vessal on a Friday, launched her on a Friday and named her HMS Friday. They hired James Friday as the captain and sent her on her maiden voyage on a Friday....and was never seen or heard of again.
