20 days ago today...

Well I guess this whole being engaged thing hasn't quite set in yet. Although 20 days is no milestone or anniversary I thought I would mention it. Mostly because after 20 days I still haven't quite digested the fact. All around me there seems to be wedding talk, and most of it I'm in on too. When I talk about Susy though I still talk about her as a girlfriend. Well I guess I just call her that versus a fiance cause I think that word sounds funny. I'm so very happy to be marrying her. She's been an amazing part of my life and has come to know me better then anyone before. She's stuck beside me even through some smelly times. Mind you she's had her fair share. It's hard for me to imagine that not 2 years ago my entire life turned upside down. How far I've come since then. A lot of people stuck beside back then and for that I am honoured to called them friends. Some days I think those friends have fallen by the way side. Life's just too busy to get together, that sort of thing. But I know they'll always be friends. Especially my best man. Jeez that guys been to Hell and back with me. We went through a lot of crazy stuff, most of which we perpetrated. There will never be another bent spoon Kris. I know I'm just blabbering. I think it's a thoughtful day. I have a great life. I love Sue and she loves me back more then I could ever ask for. I have the love of friends, old and new. I guess I'm just thankful. Thankful for the wonderful people in my life. Thankful for new relationships forming and others growing. Thankful for new parents. Thankful for a new brother, even though he doesn't talk much. Thankful for new friends that have the same weird personality I do. Thankful for my family who have been there and excepted their new daughter & sister. Thankful I have such and beautiful and loving fiance. And most of all, thankful she said yes.

Blog cause it's been awhile

So I have been meaning to blog stuff but you know how it is, you go to do something and something else distracts you. So yeah I haven't blogged much mostly because of how busy things have been. Started the new job of course. Things are good there. Little slow and quiet but I know I'm going to be busy soon enough. I've done about 3 shows so far, mind you they were really small private shows. Got rave reviews from one of them. I have 2 this weekend as well and then pretty well nothing until September. We have lots of maintaining stuff planned for around here for July & August. Yeah jobs good. Even bought a new desk for it.
I did want to blog about one thing. Sue and I have kind of decided to try new things when we eat out. I'm kind of bored of the same old stuff. So far we've gone to Presto Cucina at five corners. Pretty good food. It has an interesting environment. Kind of reminds me of Godfathers Pizza in the states. You go in and walk up to a counter and order your food. Then you go sit down and they bring it out to you. Neat system. Food was great and the staff were all friendly and helpful. And the best part was the ice cream store attached. Hmm m. Price wasn't too bad either. Probably about the same as Boston Pizza. Not a place to bring a huge group though as there only appeared to be 2 larger tables. The other place we went was Pita Pit. It was good eating. A little on the pricier side I thought but it was probably worth it in retrospect. Set up like Subway or Quiznos you place your order and they make it. They grill the meat(some it just sandwich meat) right there in front of you and let me tell you it even made the sandwich meat good. We went during the week and it was pretty busy in there. Over all I'd return to both these places to try some of their other menu items.

Well now look whats happened..

Well now this isn't good... I propose on Saturday and now it's Tuesday. I guess it was to be expected but we now have our first wedding magazine in the house! Ahh it's started.

If you haven't heard

Well if for some strange reason you haven't heard already Susy and I are engaged now. You can follow the link to her blog if you'd like to see the ring. I asked her Saturday morning and she of course said yes(thankfully). I'm very excited and happy. We haven't picked a date as of yet but it looks like summer next year some time.
We went and told my parents on Sunday night. Normally the first thing my Mom does is look for a ring but for some reason she didn't this time. Well for the next 2 hours my brother, sister, Dad and Susy and I were doing everything we could to hint at it. Finally during dinner my Gramma noticed the ring. It was most entertaining how she looked at it, she basically saw it and tilted her head until it was about 4 inches from the table and stared at it. Then my Mom figured out why everyone was giggling for the last 2 hours. It was a lot of fun.
We of course will keep everyone posted, Sue's better at that then me so better look at her blog. I'm very happy and excited about it all but I'm dreading the next year or so of planning. Right now I'm still processing the engaged part and looking at my future wife. I couldn't be happier.
